QUESTION OF VOTING

PUBLIC MUTUAL INSURANCE DISSATISFACTION EXPRESSED [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] ROTORUA, Monday Policy holders in the Public Mutual Insurance Company held a meeting in Rotorua on Saturday, when dissatisfaction was expressed with a proviso in the circular that only members who have paid the levy will be entitled to vote at the general meeting on September 22.

A sub-committee was set up to interview Mr. A. F. Moncur, M.P., who was asked to endeavour to secure legislation making it possible for all policy holders, to vote at the meeting. Mr. Moncur undertook to have an urgent question asked in the House of Representatives.

COMMITTEE APPOINTED CHRISTCHURCH POLICY HOLDERS [by telegraph—rnsss association] CHRISTCHURCH, Monday Sixty policy holders of the Public Mutual Insurance Company, at a meeting to-night, expressed their dissatisfaction with the conduct of the general affairs of the company. Most of those present said they wore unaware that they had any liability in the company. The meeting was presided over by Mr. A. A. McLaehlan. A committee was set up to investififtte the position and to co-operate with other South Island centres where, it stated, hundreds of policy holders also received circulars. The committee appointed was:—Messrs. McLachlan (chairman), F. E. S. Dale, W. A. Britten, F. G. Tidswcll, K. S. «obinson and J. A.
