TRANSPORT BOARD DECISION N.O ACTION TO BE TAKEN A decision to take no action in connection with the proposal for the provision of shelters on the waterfront road for bus passengers was made at the meeting of the Auckland Transport? Board yesterday on the recommendation of the shelters sub-com-mittee.

Tho matter had been raised at the last meeting of the board, when a letter from the City Council, enclosing a copy of a letter from the Kohimarama-Mission Bay Progressive League, and a letter from the Tamaki Residents and Ratepayers' Association were received. A conference between representatives of tho City Council, the Transport Board and L. J. Keys, Limited, was suggested. The matter was referred to the shelters sub-com-mittee of the Transport Board, and its report, recommending that no action should be taken, was adopted.

THE PARNELL SERVICE AMENDMENTS TO FARES Applications for amendments to the fare schedules of tho passenger bus services between tho city and Point Resolution and the city and Portland Road were granted by the Auckland Transport Board, as Metropolitan Licensing Authority, yesterday. Tho amendments were i'or the deletion of the weekly 12-ride tickets of 2s Gd to Point Resolution and of 2s 6d, 3s 3d and 4s on tho Portland Road route. The substitution of a new timetable, giving a more frequent service between Pitt Street and the Domain gates, was also approved. The application was made by the Hospital Bus Company, Limited.
