POWER BOARD LOAN
£50,000 FOR TAURANGA
APPROVAL OF APPLICATION [by telegraph OWN correspondent] TAURANGA, Saturday At a special meeting of the Tauranga Electric-power Board advice was received from the Local Government Loans Board that the hoard's application for a loan of £50,000 had beon sanctioned. The period of the loan was fixed at 20 years and the rato of interest at fi-i per cent.
The loan is to be raised by special order and a resolution to that effect was adopted unanimously. It will be submitted for confirmation at the next meeting of the board.
