NEW FLIGHT RECORD MAJOR A. DE SEVERSKY (Received August 30, 5.20 p.m.) SAN FRANCISCO, August 29 The American aircraft designer Major Alexander do Seversky to-day broke Roscoe Turner's westward transcontinental record by 87 minutes by flying from New York to Burbank, California, in lOh 3in. He made one stop for refuelling at Kansas City.
