DARGAVILLE SCOUT WEEK
| BY TKLEOHAPn —OWN CORRESPONDENT] DARGAVILLE, Tuesday Appreciation of the interest of residents in the recently-formed Northern' Wairoa branch of the Bov Scouts' Association was expressed by the secretary, Mr. S. Berridge,, at a picture benefit last evening, when a Boy Scout week was commenced. Parents would realise at the end of the week what- scouting meant to the welfare of the boys, ha said. Commissioner J. R. H. Cooksey," ~ of Dominion headquarters, Wellington, - - who is visiting Dargavillo in connection * with scout week, also expressed his * appreciation of the work that was being' 1 ?, carried out in the district and praised the committee and boys for what had ; already been' accomplished.
