MR. E. PRICE'S APPOINTMENT
AN ENTHUSIASTIC WORKER
The popular cricket official Mr. E. J. Price has been appointed secretary of the Auckland Association for the coming season. Ho will succeed Mr. A. W. Christmas, who has held the position during the past two seasons. The appointment will be a popular one, as Mr. Price has been a thorough and enthusiastic worker for the sport for a number of years and has established close contact with players and club officials.
Mr. Price, who is a foundation member of the Balmoral Club, started his executive career with 10 years' service on the junior advisory committee of the association, during eight of which he held the position of secretary. He has been a member of tho management committee for six years and
during the past two
seasons lias acted as Mr. E. J. Price assistant - secretary and treasurer. Ho Juas concentrated his attention cn tha promotion of junior cricket and, in addition to being 0110 of the prime movers in the formation of the Auckland Boys' Cricket Association, he has acted as junior selector for n number of years. Mr. Price also holds the position of secretary to the Auckland Table Tennis Association.
