DEMPSTER TO MARRY
VISITING NEW ZEALAND SIR JULIEN CAHN'S ELEVEN [from our own correspondent] LONDON, Aupiist 11 An interesting selection for Sir Julien Calm's cricket team, which will play its first match in New Zealand next February, is that of C. S. Dempster. His is the first name to bo announced, and it is unlikely that many other players will be selected until well on in September, by which time the membership of Hammond's team to play in South Africa later in tho year will be known.
Dempster is to bo married shortly to a Leicester girl, who will accompanv him to New Zealand. 1 hoy expect to arrive in Wellington by the Hangitano on December 1.4, as the team is not leaving England together. Jt is likelv that one or two Australians playin" 'in England will he selected, and that thev will visit Australia en route. Sir Julien Calm, accompanied by Lad.v Calm, will travel across America, and will arrive in Auckland on the Monterev on February 17. He is at. present 'in Ireland playing with an eleven. The majority of the players, who will number 15. will arrive at Auckland by the Rangitiki on February 9 It has been announced that W. E As! ill of Leicestersire, has also ac rented an invitation to go with Sir Julien Calm's team. It is said that he had received an offer of a coaching engagement in British Guiana, but that he°declined it to go to New Zealand.
