PAPAKURA BOROUGH
NO INCREASE IN RATES At a. special meeting of the Papokura Borough Council it was decided that the rates would not be increased for the coming financial year. A consolidated rate «of 3.7 d in the £ was struck. , The Mayor, Mr. S. Evans, said that owing to an increased hospital levy of C 197, the- council would have that nmount less to spend on improvements to footpaths and roads.
