PRESENTATIONS
Members of the Morrinsville branch of the Returned Soldiers' Association made a presentation to Mr. R. E. Scott, who has been secretary of the branch since its inception in 1931. The president of the branch presented Mr. Scott with the New Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association certificate, which is awarded only to those who have performed outstanding work in the interests of ex-servicemen.
Two senior officers of the clerical stall' of the Morrinsville railway station, Messrs. 'I 1 . Bayldon and W. M. Lawrence, were fa re welled by rail way men ami residents of the district at a social gathering, when presentations were made. Mr. Bavldon, who has been chief clerk at Morrinsvillo for the past four years, will take over the duties of stationmaster at Thames, while Mr. Lawrence is being transferred to Ongarue.
