NEW WOMEN'S CLUB

Beautiful stock, violets, daffodils, and other spring flowers were shown in the floral competition held by members of the New Women's Club on Kriday afternoon. The highest, number of points was awarded to Mrs. G. Ogden, who was adjudged the winner for the month, airs. C. F. Goodridge was tho winner in a shoulder-sprav competition. A variety of leather work was shown by the arts and crafts circle, Miss Hall gaining first place with a purse. Those who assisted with an entertainment programme were:—Miss May Mitchell, Miss Frances Cole, airs. L. Osbourne and airs. MacGregor with vocal and elocutionary items. A sketch was also given by Airs. Osbourne and Mrs. MacGregor. A competition was won by Mrs. S. M. Hamilton. Afternoon tea was served by Mrs. Phethean and airs. Lloyd. The president, Mrs. W. B. Darlow, presided. Reference was made by the president to the death of a foundation member, Mrs. M. J. Jenkinson, of Remuera, members standing in silence.
