CHAPMAN.—On August 29. at New Plymouth, Mary Lennox Chapman, beloved mother of Margaret, Jack, Bruce, Keith and Charles; aged 77 years.

Private interment at New Plymouth to-day. HINTON. —On August 28, at his late residence, Matarigi, Job, loved husband of Millio Hinton; aged 75 years. The funeral will leave the cathedral to-day (Tuesday), at 1.30 p.m., for the Hamilton East Cemetery.

HOLLOWAY. —On August 29, at Kawakawa, Ellen Rosa, widow of the late Henry Holloway, of Hamilton, and beloved mother of Mrs. E. Clarke, Mrs. J. Short, Mrs. E. O'Meara and Messrs. C. and A. Holloway; in her 86th year. Private cremation at Auckland to-day.

HOWARD.—On August 29, at Auckland, Asenath Lavinia, youngest daughter of the late Joseph and Isabella Howard; aged 51 years.

The funeral will leave her brother's residence?. 100 Benson Road, Remuera. for Purewa Cemetery, at 2 p.m. to-morrow ("Wednesday).

KNAPTON.—On August 27 (suddenly), at Busselton, Western Australia. Margaret, eldest daughter of the late A. R. and Alexandria Ross, and her sister-in-law, lall Knapton. '
