TRADE PACTS PENDING
BRITAIN AND CANADA AGREEMENTS WITH AMERICA (Received August 23, 7.55 p.m.) MONTREAL, August 23 It is persistently reported that the terms of an Anglo-American trade treaty will be revealed before the end of this month, says the Ottawa correspondent of the Montreal Gazette.
The writer adds that a new trade pact between Canada and the United States will bo ready for signature in the early autumn. Ho predicts that these pacts will reveal that Canada has paid a handsome price to facilitate an Anglo-American treaty.
