LEAGUE OF MOTHERS
Mount-Albert branch.—The Mount Albert , branch of the League of Mothers met in the Presbyterian Hall recently, when Mrs. M. M. Turner presided. "The Sanctity of Marriage" was the subject taken by the speaker for the afternoon, the Rev. .1. I). Grocott. Solo's by Mrs. Parry, elocutionary items by Miss Douglas and pianoforte solos hv Mrs. Fowler, were much appreciated. The hostesses for the afternoon were Mrs. Millar and Mrs. Leman. Afternoon tea was served by Mrs. Millar Mid her committee. Pukekohe. —The annual meeting of the Pukekohe branch was held recently. The vice-president, Mrs, G. C. Reveil, presided. The secretary's report was read by Mrs. H. Mills. The treasurer's report presented by Mrs. C. McArthur, showed a satisfactory credit balance. Mrs. G. Smith gave the thought for the month. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mrs. 0. McArthur; vice-presidents, Mrs. J. Cowrie, Mrs. G. C. Reveil, Mrs. W. Patterson; secretary, Mrs. Horace Mills; treasurer, Mrs. A. Patterson; committee, Mrs. W. Brown, Mrs. S. Clews, Airs. J. D. Grayson, Mrs. E. Smith, Mrs. H. E. Newman, Mrs. G. Smith. Two songs were sung by Mrs. H. E. Newman. The hostesses were Mrs. G. Smith and Mrs. G. C. Reveil.
