GRADUATION BALL
NURSES CELEBRATE
A HAPPY GATHERING MANY GUESTS ATTEND Bright streamers, vases of painted lilies, and clusters of gay balloons decorated the Peter Pan Cabaret last night, when a graduation ball was held in honour of the Auckland nurses who passed their State examinations last June.
Replicas of the badge of the registered nurses hung over the official cubicle and the bandstand, while notices illustrating different hospital terms marked the cubicles.
The guests were received by the lady superintendent of the Auckland Hospital, Miss E. M. Nutsey, M.8.E., who wore a frock of black brocaded cloque, and a coatee of black lacquered faille. She carried a posy of cyclamen and daphne. The committee members were:—Miss J. Davison, the gold medallist, who wore black brocaded taffetas; Miss Valerie Walker, blue and silver lame; Miss E. Saxton, white taffetas; Miss J. Hewitt, larkspur blue crepe; Miss M. Sinton, claret taffetas; Miss E. Goodison, black moire taffetas. In the official party were Mr. Allan Moody, the chairman of the Auckland Hospital Board, Dr. J. W. Craven, the medical superihtendent of the Auckland Hospital, and Mrs. Craven, who wore floral georgette in autumn tonings. t Some ol the Dancers Among the guests were:- —Mrs. R. H.
