GIFT TO LEPERS
FILM MACHINE AT MAKOQAI A letter from leper patients at Makogai has been received by the Suva Rotary Club, expressing thanks to the club and to the people of New Zealand, Fiji, Samoa and Tonga, through whoso generosity a talking picture machine has been installed on the island. "Tho coming of the machine, with all tho latest improvements of its kind, will cheer us greatly in many an otherwise dull evening,", the letter states. "Wo would like you all to feel that you have given us a gift that will always be looked upon with sincere gratitude."
