So far ten items have been disposed of and in all probability urgency will be taken to-morrow for another nine, which will have to be passed before the conclusion of the sitting. The second reading debate on the Social Security Bill will be resumed on Wednesday and it would not be surprising to see the discussion. lapse by Thursday at the latest. However, the committee stages of the bill are almost certain to be protracted, but in view of the absence in Auckland of the Prime Minister, Mr. Savage, no exceptional developments are expected to occur hi the proceedings of the House this week.
