THIEVES IN OFFICE

THE PREMISES RANSACKED Thieves entered the premises of Messrs. Pickering and Southernwood, motor-engineers, The Strand, Parnell, during tho week-end, and ransacked the office in search of money. Entrance was apparently gained by means of a window at tho back Tho intruders rifled a cash box which contained a half-sovereign, 5s worth of postage stamps, and about 2s in pennies. The stolen half-sovereign was a coin which Mr. Pickering had kept in tho cash box since he first started business in 1923.
