RAILWAYMAN KILLED
SHUNTING AT TE AROIIA SLIP BETWEEN WAGGONS FATHER OF THREE CHILDREN [BY TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT] TE AROHA, Friday A fatal accident occurred during shunting at the Tc Aroha railway station this afternoon. The victim was: — Mr. George Harry Withers, aged 37, married, with three children. Mr. Withers, who was a porter, was engaged in shunting a line pf waggons into Baincs siding, when he slipped and fell between two waggons, being run over ami killed instantly. Mr. Withers had been transferred to To Aroha from Stratford some two months ago. An inquest was opened this evening before the district coroner. Mr. George Hedge, and, after evidence of identification was heard, was adjourned.
