Silver is quoted at 19jjd an oz. spot and 19Jd forward, compared with 19 7-16 d and 19£ d yesterday. The quotation for silver at per line oz. is 2U£d compared with 21d yesterday. HUDDART, PARKER, LIMITED HIGHER INTERIM DIVIDEND Huddart, Parker, Limited, Melbourne, has declared interim dividends of ;i per cent, unchanged, on preference shares, and (5 per cent on ordinary shares. Payment will be made 011 September 15. Last year the interim dividend on ordinary shares was 5 per cent, with a final of 6 per cent. NORTH BROKEN HILL DIVIDEND OF 6D A SHARE (Received August 19, 8 p.m.) • MELBOURNE, August 19 The directors of North Broken Hill, Limited, have declared , a quarterly dividend of 6d a share, payable 011 September 28. This was in accordance with market expectations. The distribution, which is at tho rate of 10 per cent, is the same as that paid in the previous quarter. M.K. MANUFACTURERS BOARD'S DIVIDEND POLICY Tho directors of M.K. Manufacturers, Limited, have declared an .interim dividend of 6 per cent for tho half-year ended June 30, payable 011 Monday. This compares with an interim of 10 per cent and u final of 8 per cent last year. In a circular to shareholders tho directors state that owing to ill-health Air. 11. Koning recently tendered his resignation as nianaging-direcLor and Mrs. Konirw had also resigned from tho board, and they no longer have any interests in the company. Mr. W. J. Spring has been appointed to tho board. It is stated that the company is showing continued progress and arrangements are being made for tho erection ol' a large up-to-date factory, which will bo leased 011 a satisfactory long-term basis. This should considerably reduce costs of production by tho improved lay-out. '.I he directors add that they consider it wise to adopt a conservative policy regarding interim dividend.
