Autograph Hunters of Hollywood
PRODUCER'S COLLECTION Hollywood stars not only give autographs, but collect them. Their technique in acquiring envied collections, however, is different from that of the average film fan and the big prizes usually go to the stars who display the greatest originality. In all fairness to the film enthusiasts who seek star autographs, it is obvious, of course, that they have a more difficult time of it than the stars themselves. General John J. Pershing scarcely hesitated to scrawl his signature for W. S. Van Dyke 11, the director, on the head of an African drum, but ho might have been less willing with some unknown autograph hunter.
