The Rock Garden
It is quite a suitable time at the present to fill up any spaces in tho rock garden. Plants out of pots or boxes can be inserted with very little disturbance of the roots. If it is found that the roots of plants grown in pots are matted together, the pots may have to be broken: and the roots carefully disentangled, as far a? that can be done without injuring them. Water tho plants thoroughly the day before planting; it is a great mistake to plant while the roots are dry. When putting plants between the rocks, care must be taken to place soil all round the roots and mako it firm.
