ON A WATTLE TREE
P P/nzt {O'ItIHALJ J Outside my bedroom window Stands a lovely wattle tree, And the perfume of its blossoms Is Wafted in to me. T-he busy little white-eye, With his plumes of shining green, Flitting in and out the branchesA Often can be seen. Darting here and darting there, Catching little flies, Hanging by his tiny feet And looking very wise. —Original by Fay Price (12)
