We take this opportunity therefore, of impressing upon thcin that if they will witness at least one presentation of "The Vagabond King" they will not only be entirely cured of this prejudice, but will also find that the production in all respects sets a standard that is seldom achieved, even on the professional stage in Australia or New' Zealand. The scenic and lighting effects are excellently handled and the costumes are as used in Ihe original Williamson production. On this occasion the Committee of the Society has been fortunate in procuring a team of brilliant singers, dancers, comedians and other artists with a really remarkable chorus and ballet. The whole production may be most favourably compared with a highclass professional company and it is this fact that ensured such crowded houses and enthusiastic audiences at last week's season. It is rwrretted that so many intending patr<2js were unable to gain admission, but it is felt that the three final presentations to be given on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday next will provide an opportunity for those who have not yet witnessed "The Vagabond King" to see it before the scenic material and costumes are sent to Southern centres. Owing to very heavy theatre bookings it will be quite impossible to extend the season.
