OFFENDER FINED £25 FIRES IN FOREST AREA [from our own correspondent] RAWEXE, Fridny A fine of £25 and costs was imposed on Harry Iraia Waiotomarama by Mi\, G. N. Morris, S.M., at Rawene, on a charge of making false declarations under tho Employment Promotion Act over a period of two years. On charges of aiding and abetting the unlawful supply of liquor to Maoris, Sam Nathan, Henry Clendon and Mana Tawliai, Maoris from Russell, were each fined £4 and costs. Three Waimamaku farmers, C. Bracey, P. Pederson and M. A. Pottman, wore charged with lighting fires without permits in the "Waipoua fire district. Fines ranging from 30s to £2 10s wore imposed.
