That, in addition to the heavy burden the Socialists propose to place on everyone for their Social Security Scheme, there is hidden in the budget a crushing burden of taxation to relieve unemployment. . 2. The Socialists have scared from the country many millions of private capital that would now have been engaged in private enterprise if it were not for fear of Socialism. 3. This has resulted in continued tiTtemploymerir that has had to be ..met' out of the public purse by Public Works and Local Body Works. 4. While the Socialists continue in power, working havoc on private enterprise, they must continue to borrow to keep down unemployment. 5. they must-borrow when times are good, they must always expect to borrow. 7. So that every male in the community is asked to shoulder annually his share of the 1 4 million, that is, £2O a head. 8. That means that the future of every male is being mortgaged £2O a head this year, £4O a head next year, and £6O a head the year after, because the money must be repaid some day. 9. YOU must be taxed to pay •the interest" on "these loatis", and YOU must • be taxed much more heavily to pay them back. 10. The Socialists propose: (a) To tax everybody, including children, for their Social Security Scheme. (b) To crush out the employer and replace him with a State Department run at ruinous losses. (c) To borrow, borrow, borrow to keep down the unemployment that they caused by crushing out the employer and frightening away capital. (d) To tax, tax, tax to meet the loans and the interest bills and ■the loans they are incurring.
