COURT INCIDENT
MAN ARRESTED MAGISTRATE'S DIRECTION MAINTENANCE ACTION SEQUEL Following an incident in the Magistrate's Court yesterday afternoon, a middle-aged man was taken to the Central Police Station and arrested on the direction of the magistrate, Mr. G. G. Chisholm. The incident was a sequel to the granting of a maintenance and separation order against the man 011 the application of his wife. The only persons present at the time in addition to tho magistrate, the clerk of the Court, and the husband and wife concerned in the proceedings, were counsel for tho parties and a son and daughter of tho man subsequently arrested. Summoned from another Court, a constable took tho man to the police station, where ho was placed in custody. The man will appear in the Police Court this morning in answer to a charge of assaulting his wife.
