They were completely excluded from botany, zoology and anthropology, tlie ban on the last subject being the ono most recently lifted. Conservative scholars believed that the participation of women would make scientific.discussion over-frivilous. Now Br. Olga Tousskv will brighten up differential equations and hypercomplex systems, and other ladies will talk on crudito topics never heard of bv the average so-called educated man.
