ENDURANCE TEST
AMERICAN "BURIED" ALIVE annoyed "by imitator (Received August in, 5.5 p.m.) CHICAGO. August 14 A former salesman, Lester Melntyre, is annoyed. He climbed into a coffin on August 2 and was buried in a grave where he intends to remain for 40 days. Now a former taxi-driver, Oscar" Atkins, is trying the same endurance test. "It is not ethical," complained Melntyre through the slender shaft down which the public are paying 10 cents for peeps at lxim. "Still, X am not worrying. Atkins is not a professional." Melntyre has fresh flowers placed on his grave daily but Atkins prefers his original faded wreath.
