ANNUAL MEETING HELD WORK OF MENTAL BRANCH The annual meeting of the Mental Hospital branch of the Auckland Hospital Auxiliary was held yesterday afternoon. The president, Mrs. David Nathan, presided. Reports were given by the following conveners of sub-committees: —Dr. Elizabeth Hughes, after-care; Mrs. M. D. Morrison, arts and crafts, Avondale; Mrs. P. Waugh, arts and crafts, Kingseat; Mrs. Norman Burton and Miss Freda • Brookes, sports material; Mrs. H. Tiarks and Miss J. Teape, visiting committees; Mrs. A. J. Matthias, library and periodicals; Mrs. W. H. R. Teape, hampers. Regret was expressed at the resignation of Mrs. David Nathan from Imposition as president, and, on behalf of the members, Mrs. Kenneth Gordon presented her with a book. Mrs. A. D. Campbell thanked the members for the valuable work they had done during the past year. The election of officers resulted as follows: —President, Mrs. \V. H. R.

WILSON HOME BRANCH FIRST ANNUAL MEETING The first annual meeting of the Wilson Home branch of the Auckland Hospital auxiliary was held at the Takapuna Council Chambers yesterday morning. In the absence of the president, Mrs. J. W. "Williamson, Mrs. G. Winstone presided. In her report the secretary stated that the year had been a very active one and satisfactory work had been achieved. The sewing committee met when necessary to make garments for the children at the home, and many people had made garments from wool and material supplied by the committee. Donations of clothing for winter and summer use had also been received. During the year representatives from the various women's organisations at the North Shore had joined the committee and their help was greatly appreciated. The committee was also grateful for the help and co-operation it had received from the matron of the home and her staff. Thanks were also due to the North Shore Transport Companv, North Shore Girl Guides, Returned Soldiers' Association, members of the Takapuna Borough Council and the Boy Scouts for assistance in the work. The reports from Northcote, Devoiiport Bayswater, Belmont, and Brown .s Bay 'were read, and several new members were enrolled. The treasurer's report showed a balance of fn a brief address, the matron of the "Wilson Home, Miss r J.. Jl. I'auloonbridge, expressed thanks to the committee members for their work and for the garments provided. The following officers were elected: — President, Mrs. J. W.
