OTAGO CHAMPIONSHIPS [BV TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] DUNEDIN, Monday The Oiago hadminfon championships were concluded before a fair crowd of spectators. Results were:— Men's Singles.—W. Abbott beat J. Swan, 15 —0, B—ls, 15 —5. Ladies' singles: M. Kerr beat 0. Erridge, 11 —3, 11—5. Men's doubles: L. Swallow and J. Steven beat G. ]{. Dickinson and J. R. Laidlaw, 13—11, m—ls, 15—7. Ladies' doubles: Misses K. Angel I and .T, Emslio beat Misses M. Kerr and J. Hay, 13—10, 13—10. Combined doubles: O. K. Dickinson and Mis 3 Al. Korr bent W. Abbott and Miss L. Samson, 15 —13, 18—13. TAURANGA BEATS TE PUKE [by telegraph—own correspondent] TE PUKE, Monday Tauranga was successful in two badminton matches against Tc Puke in an inter-club competition, The A team won by nine games to three and the B team won by seven games to five. The A teams played at Tauranga and the B teams at Te Puke. This was the first occasion that the Te Puke Badminton Club had played under the rules of the Waikato Association, to which it was recently affiliated.
