The event was won by J. Allerton and Miss V. Fleming (New Zealand) with a score of 79, 80 —159. H. Cutler and Mrs. Goodall, 81, 79—160, were second, and L. Hore and Mrs. Hore, 82, 79 —161, third.

Brown and Mrs. Macßae, 91, 91—182. B. Gaisford and Miss lllston failed to return a card. No other New Zealanders took part. Miss Fleming and her Mouthful- partner knew they required par figures, a 3 and a 4, at the last two holes to win the event, and they played both holes perfectly. Allcrton's 180-yard approach to the last green was a beautiful stroke, and Miss Fleming ran a long putt up to within inches of the hole. The New Zealanders, especially the members of the lasman Cup team, are settling down to the new conditions very well, and in practice rounds are returning scores in the low eighties. Miss Fleming to-day was a model of steadiness. Mrs. Crombie was experiencing slight uncertainty from the tees, but otherwise all the players were hitting shots with confidence and accuracy.
