Painting Contest Results
Some really excellent entries were received for the Junior Painting. Content and the record number of paintings shows how popular these competitions arc. I do wish you could see some of tjie winning entries they are simply lovely, so neatly and. brightly painted. > The prize painting in the Girls' Section was exquisitely done in brilliant but very artistic colours and mounted on a black background which gave it the air of a real picture. The winning entry in the Boys Section was also mounted, this time on white paper, while another very tasteful scene was depicted in soft brown, old red and a lovely shade of blue, all the colours blending in very artistically. Although the girls' entries greatly outnumbered those of the boyi» the results on the whole were truly splendid, and our lations to the winners, who thoroughly deserve their aWifirds.
