Women in the Forties AFTER 40 one must husband one's resources of beauty. The hands, for instance, even if they bear signs of hard work, can be beautiful if they show character. To keep the skin soft, use castor sugar, a teaspoon to a lather of soap and warm water. This makes a paste with which you may massage them. Apply hot towels to a neck that is beginning to Sag. Then massage with u good cream and lemon juice. Alter massage apply an astringent lotion to close the pores. Eye exercises, such as screwing up the eyes and rolling them, will help your eyes, and chin exercises, up, down, right, left, will improve the chin. But nothing will help so much as complete relaxation during your hours of sleep. Lie as loosely as possible in bed. A\oid such easily acquired habits as making faces and sitting iu a stiff attitude. Finally, meditate. Think away from your troubles. Leam a verse and say it to yourself. Let your mind wander to peaceful scenes
