OF PEOPLE AND PLACES
MUSICAL MAN'S TRAVELS A musical man on his travels has set out in book form some memories of visits to countries of Europe and America and of the people lie met there. The book is written very much in the autobiographical style, but it includes some interesting reflections on the nature and outlook of people from Budapest to New York. Many of them also move in the musical world, hut the author does not limit himself to these. He makes no attempt to give a crosssection of thought-in any one country, and reallv eschews politics, simply giving a collection of interesting reminiscences. The book contains some attractive .illustrations. "People I Have Met," by Basil Maino. (John Alurray.)
