PENWOMEN'S CLUB
An address on recent developments in the field of chemistry, and their effects on medical work and practice, ■was given at a meeting of the Penwomen's Club yesterday afternoon by Dr. Douglas Robb. The. club president, Mrs. Nello Porter, presided. The speaker dealt chiefly with the functions of hormones in the human body, the more recent discoveries made by science in this direction, and the resultant effect in preventive and curative treatment, much of which. Dr. Robb said, was able to be carried out nowadays without the use of surgical methods.
