BEQUEST OF AN EYE
STRANGE SURGICAL CASE CLERGYMAN'S SIGHT RESTORED (Received August 30, 7.30 p.m.) SAN FRANCISCO, August 10 The Rev. U. E. Harding has had his sight restored after the removal of the cornea from a woman's eye shortly after her death and the grafting of it upon his own. The woman, who was a member of Mr. Harding's church, bequeathed the eye to him after he had vainly pleaded with condemned prisoners in San Quentin gaol for one.
