CHAPTER'S ANNUAL MEETING. THE ELECTION OF OFFICERS The Auckland chapter of the New Zealand Institute of Secretaries held its sixth annual meeting at the Ritz Tearooms on Tuesday night. . There was a good attendance, over which Sir. D. L. Bone presided. Mr. Bone said that some of the chapter's activities during the year had taken a more social form, including two golf tournaments and a tennis even* ing, all of which had been successful. The institute, he continued, should watch not only the interests of the secretaries, but should in some measure endeavour to promote among the members themselves that feeling of fellow-, ship which wai necessary in all institutions of this nature. Messrs. W. F. O'Donnell, H. A. Craig and D. L. Bone were elected representatives of the Auckland chapter oil the New Zealand council of the institute, which will meet in Wellington in September. The following were elected to the committee of the chapter: —Messrs. D. L. Bone, A. B. Black, A. M. Clark, G*. Cooper. H A. Craig, W. F. O'Donnell, J. Rae. W. A. Shirley, M. B. Thorpe. R. W. Woods. A. G. Wilson, A. Stafford and L. H. Watson, honorary secretary. Mr. Craig was appointed chairman of 'the chapter and Mr. Woods vice-chairman.
