CHARMING WEDDING

THOMSON-JACKSON I CEREMONY AT ST. MARK'S PICTURESQUE SETTING White camellias and arum lilies decorated St. Mark's Church, Remuera, for the wedding yesterday afternoon of Miss Mary Hughlings Jacksou, onlv daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Jacksen, of Epsom, and Mr. Bruce Gurne.v Thomson, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Percy M. Thomson, of Remuera. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. P. Houghton, and Mr. A. Pascoo was the organist. Tho bride, who was given away by fier father, wore a walking-length frock of white ribbed cloquc. The bodice was pleated in front, and caught with crosswiso bands, ending in large circles at the neck and waist-line, which was swathed with a pleated sash. A largo beret of the same material, worn ol) the face, gave a halo effect, and a spray of orchids was pinned in the necklet of silver foxes. She. carried an ivory-backed hymn-book tied with white ribbons. Miss Mavis - St. Clair Brown, tho bridesmaid, wore a suit of delphinium blue angora woven crepe, made with 6 hort sleeves and buttoning down tho front with largo square buttons. With this she wore a high toque of matching felt, tucked diagonally, and a stock of clover-red velvet. She carried a bouquet of pink and white cyclamens. Attending the bridegroom as best man was Mr. Harvey St. Clair Brown. After the ceremony a reception was held in the palm lounge at Hotel Cargen. Mrs. Jackson received tho guests in a graceful ankle-length frock of ovster-grev triple ninon, with full elbow-length sleeves, finished with grev fur. Her sailor hat of grey straw was banded by cyclamen feathers, and she carried a bouquet of cyclamens. An ankle-length frock of clover-red safin-oacked crepe, with long, tight sleeves, and a bolero coatee was chosen by Mrs. Thomson. At the side of her small matching felt toque was worn a spray of flowers in a slightly lighter toning, and her bouquet also was of cyclamens.
