NEW WHEAT STRAIN
DISCOVERY IN ENGLAND higher yield secured LONDON, Augnst 8 After ten years' research Professor L. En'gledow, professor of agriculture at Cambridge University, has discovered a new wheat which is believed to bo superior to any of Britain's varieties. Five crops were proved to yield 10 per cent higher than tho best other varieties. Tho straw is six inches shorter and also stouter, and the grain is highly resistant to rust disease.
