SUCCESSION OF FROSTS
[BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION*] ASHBURTON, Tuesday The severity of the winter is shown by the fact that registrations of frost in the foothills near Methven last week were:—Monday, 28 degrees; Tuesday, 26; Wednesday, 32; followed by 23 last Sunday, when five inches of snow were still on the ground. A frost of 32 degrees is a record for the district.
