FAREWELL TO RESIDENTS Mr. and Mrs, •). Cussen and family, who left To Mata last week to reside nt Oporait, were tendered a farewell evening in the To Mata Hall recently, when a large number of residents was present. The first part of (lie evening was devoted to a ping-pong tournament, which was won by Miss Norma Bregmen and Mr. Roy Dean. Cards and dancing followed. In presenting a handsome clock to the guests of honour on behalf of the residents, Mr. R. ■!. Nicholson spoke of the interest they had taken in the affairs of the district. At a meeting of the Raglan subbranch of the Plunket. Society held last week, the resignation of the president, Mrs. K. Reynolds, was received. The late secretary, Mrs. K C'arr, was elected president, and Mrs. C. JI. Marcroft secretary. Miss Iv, Socler, of C'hristehiirch, is spending a lew days" in Raglan as the guest of Mrs. Grayling. Mrs. Chandler, of Rotorua, is spending a holiday with her daughter, Mrs. O H. Wallis, Okete.
