BOTOEUA TOURNEY LARGE ENTRY RECEIVED MANY PLAYERS ELIMINATED WAITING LIST OF TWENTY [BY telegraph —OWN correspondent] ROTORUA. Tuesday One hundred and thirty-ciglit entries have been received by the Rotorua Golf Club for its annual open championship tournament, which is to commence at Arikikapakapa on Monday, August 22. Under the rules of tho tournament entries are limited to the first 90 receivqd with the lowest handicaps, and consequently a ballot had to be taken for tho last three players to gain entry with handicaps of seven. This year the tournament lias attracted many of the lowest handicapped players in the country and in consequence only players with seven handicap, against nine last year, have been able to gain entry. A waiting, list of 20 players includes the veteran Aucklnnder, R. G. Raingir, who has been prominent, at tho tournament lor many years. Included in the successful entrants are tho title-holder, H. D. Brinsden, of Auckland, % H. B. Lusk, another veteran who has held the title in recent years, and who also has been the winner of tho New Zealand Veterans' Cup, and W.
