THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE MARKET QUIETLY FIRM Business for the week opened quietly on tile Auckland Stock Ex-« change yesterday, when the volume of dealing "'as small. Trading covered a narrow range of issues, but the general tone was stronger than at the close of last week. Among the banking issues, New Zealands and Commercials of Australia both were taken at slightly higher levels. Offers for New Zealand and South British Insurances were raised (hiring the day without attracting for practically all the classified industrials were firmly steady. A firmer tone was again evident in West port - Stocktons. New Zealand Breweries sold at late rates. Broken Hill Proprietary recovered some ground -in dealing. Morts Dock * were lifted in two transactions. Accommodation movements took place in G. J Coles at the final call. Consolidated Bricks made a forward movement, a parcel changing hands at an advance.
RERLEI, LIMITED, RESULTS
The accounts of Berlci, Limited, Sydney ; foundation garment manufacturers, show a net profit of £29,002 for the ypar ended Juno .'SO, comparer! with £27,829 in 19;'.6-.'37. The year's ordinary distribution is unchanged at 10 per cent.
