Hal Roach is proposing to make a skating picture, to be called "Hot and Cold." Warners contemplate putting Boris Karloff opposite Kay Francis in her last picture for them, "I Spy." Arthur Lake is given tho second man's part in "There Goes My Heart," starring Virginia Bruce and Fredric March. ' Twentieth Century-Fox are preparing "The Return of the Cisco Kid" for Warner Baxter. He did tho original "Cisco Kid" eight years ago. Napoleon comes to the screen again in "The Royal Divorce" for Herbert Wilcox. Ruth Chatterton will bo Josephine and Pierre Blanc-liar plays Napoleon. Dorothy Lamour and George Raft will be the stars of Pararnount's "St. Louis Blues." Dorothy at last gets her wish to wear ordinary smart modern clothes on the screen. Columbia has bought "The Duchess of Broadway" as Jean Arthur's next picture. Samuel GoJdwyn originally planned it for Carolo Lombard or Claudetto Colbert. Harold Lloyd is holding up tho release of "Professor Beware" for six months, because tho public is tired of crazy comedies. Ho thinks they will bo welcome again by then.
