President: Roosevelt, he adds, would probably try, as an "influential friend," to stop the race by means of an agreement on limitation. The diplomatic correspondent, who claims to have hecn able to base his remarks on Cabinet and ambassadorial reports, says that well-informed quarters state that Germany is willing to consider entering into an agreement. She is, ho continues. particularly willing to discuss an agreement on the limitation of aeroplanes. II this willingness is expressed in a definite lornt, the British Government will respond immediately.
