Seed Sowing Hints

When sowing seeds in boxes it is important in the first place that the mixture of soils used should be perfectly blended. If a box is filled with a compost that consists of lumps of loam, chunks of compressed leaves and some sprinklings of sand, ashes and other things, the seeds sown in such a varied mixture will be like the scriptural broadcasts—some falling on stonv ground, some on other kinds. Get an even mixture ol the ingredients of a good compost, sifted fine and well mixed. The seeds will then have a good prospect of making a fair start in life.
