SUBURBAN VALUATIONS

FEWER OBJECTIONS LODGED ONE PER CENT OF THE TOTAL The period during which objections could be lodged to the property valuations recently made by the \ aluation Department in Rcmuera, Parnell, Epsom and Grey Lynn closed yesterday. The objections made represented about one per cent of the total, this percentage being lower than usual, possibly because the general trend in three districts was for reduced valuations. while in the fourth there was very little difference. Remuera, in which there are 39:26 assessments, provided the greatest number of objections. In Grey Lynn there were 3456 assessments, in Epsont 1806 and Parnell 1360. Dates reserved for a sitting of the Assessment Court are from September 12 to 2-3 inclusi\e.
