MATCH AT TAUNTON SOMERSET FARES BADLY AUSTRALIAN BOWLERS' SUCCESS (Received July •_'7, 11 p.m.) LONDON', July 11 After oarlv showers, the weather cleared at Taunton to-day and the Australian cricketers' match against Somersetshire was commenced promptly to time. The Somerset team comprises:—E. F. M. I). Lyon, It. -T. B. Meyer, (,'. .J. Barnwell. F. S. Lee, H. T. F. Hum-, 11. Giiublctt, W. IT. I'. Andrews, A. \V. Wei lard, \V. T. Luckes and H. L. Hax.ell. Those omitted from the Australian team are Fingleton. McCormick, J3arnett and Waite. Brown is ]2th man. Longrigg won the toss and elected to bat. Somerset lost two wickets within ten minutes, and four were down when only -1 i runs had been scored. Lee was out to a catch at second slip, and Buse was run out due to a smart return by Hassett.
