RECENT CONTROVERSY REFERENCE BY MINISTER [BV TKI.KGKAI'H —OWN COHRESF'ONDKNt] WELLINGTON, Wednesday "A short time ago wo nearly had a very regrettable controversy about tho Plunket method of feeding," said the Minister of Health, the Hon. P. Eraser, when speaking at the opening of the annual meeting of the Dominion Federation of Women's Institutes in the Town Hall to-day. "Fortunately on that occasion all concerned, including officers of the Plunket Society, showed a breadth of mind that was very encouraging indeed. "The work of the Plunket Society has been the principal agent in reducing the infantile death rate of this country," added Mr. Eraser. "That work will still go on, and will increase in the future."

Mr. Eraser paid a tribute to the founder of the Plunket Society, the late Sir Truby King. He said that probably no single individual had done so much for the children, not only of Now Zealand, but of tho world. His work had helped the children of ererj* country in the world.
