CAMPAIGN IN ENGLAND DEMAND FOR INSTRUCTORS \|, indication of the possibilities opened up by the campaign for physical litnoss in Kngland was given by Miss (iwvuiieth Stuart, who is at present visiting Auckland. She is connected with a physic a I training: college at Dartford Heath, near London. Miss Stuart said that the passing of the Health and Recreation Bill las| year and the opening of the campaign bv the Prime Minister, Mr. Neville Chamberlain, bail made the teaching of physical litnoss of great importance. As stress was particularly being laid on \ll ull g children from the point of view of nutrition ami structural development, the main object in Kngland was the teaching of physical culture in every elementary school by fully trained inst ruetors. "Classes are being held in the evening for young people who are employed during the day, and also for members of the unemployed on relief as a profitable means of employing their leisure time." continued Miss Stuart. "As a result there is a heavy demand for instructors which in Knglnnd it is difti cult to meet."
